In this conversational panel, academics and experienced journalists will explore the complexities of trust in the media landscape, the practices of investigative journalists and newsroom organization. The panel members will discuss:
  • The Building Blocks of Trust: What does trust mean in journalism, and how can we foster it in an era of misinformation and fake news?
  • Navigating Complex Audiences: How can journalists build bridges with critical, disillusioned, or alienated audiences, and how do trust issues impact our interactions with research subjects?
  • Creating Trustworthy Newsrooms: What role does inclusion and diversity play in building a culture of trust within news organizations?
